BIGBANG Taeyang Confesses First Impression of BLACKPINK Lisa
On April 27, BIGBANG Taeyang who recently return with its latest album, "Down to Earth," appeared as a special guest for SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show."
In the live radio broadcast, he talked about his wife Min Hyo Rin, his past hits, as well as his new release. While on the topic, Taeyang also mentioned his collab track, "Shoong!" featuring BLACKPINK Lisa, which is currently gaining massive popularity from around the world.

The "King of K-pop" particularly expressed his gratitude to the female superstar, saying:
"Ah, everything is thanks to the fact that I worked with Lisa on the song. This achievement and result wouldn't have been possible without the participation of Lisa, that's for sure."
Just then, the male idol looked back at the time when he first met Lisa when he was only auditioning for YG Entertainment and revealed what he first thought after seeing her.
Taeyang narrated:
"I didn't intend to be there, but I was working in a studio when I heard from someone that a girl from Thailand came to the audition. I was like, " Ah, really." Then, I went down on my way home when I passed by the room she was in, so I decided to watch it together.
She was so young back then, I don't remember exactly, but I think she was in elementary or middle school? I kind of felt bad, knowing that she was alone in a country she wasn't even familiar with. She came from Thailand just for the audition, you know!"
Taeyang continued that he had a realization after hearing Lisa sing her audition piece, "Baby" by Justin Bieber, stating:
"Lisa sounds amazing at the time. She's also pretty. I thought, 'This girl's going to dominate the business in the future."
Indeed, Taeyang isn't wrong when he claimed that Lisa's going to make it big someday!
Thus, Taeyang emphasized the significance of their collaboration song and exclaimed how happy he is to witness Lisa's success from when she was only a little girl.

Meanwhile, Taeyang, a member of "Kings of K-pop" BIGBANG dropped his new mini-album, "Down to Earth" on April 25.
On the same day, its collaboration song and MV with BLACKPINK Lisa was unveiled, drawing the attention of global K-pop fans.
Just a day after its release, the MV dominated YouTube Trending Worldwide at No. 1, a chart that ranks artists around the world by adding up the views of music videos and stage videos released through YouTube.
As of the 27th, the performance music video featuring Lisa surpassed 21 million views and is sitting as the No. 2 trending in the music category.
In addition to this, the new song also topped the iTunes charts in 30 countries and regions. "Shoong!" is an R&B trap genre song that combines addictive melodies and trendy hip-hop beats. It is a song that adds the sensuous rapping of BLACKPINK Lisa to Taeyang's refreshing vocals, creating a feeling of driving.
