NewJeans & GOT7 Jackson Recognized as Most Impactful Asians in Gold House's A100 List 2023

Gold House has included NewJeans and GOT7 Jackson as one of the Asians who made an impact, placing them on their A100 list for 2023.

NewJeans, GOT7 Jackson Join Gold House's A100 List for 2023

On May 1, Gold House has officially revealed their record of A100, which lists 100 Asians who have made an impact around the world.

The factors considered were impacts on different fields such as technology, fashion, social activism, entertainment, media, and many more. On the list, two of K-pop's biggest stars were joined the list, which revealed to be NewJeans and Jackson Wang of GOT7.

On their official website, NewJeans was included due to their solid footing in the industry, achieved by less than a year since their debut.

The description elaborated their status as the first girl group to debut under ADOR, which is headed by CEO Min Hee Jin, who's also a former creative in the pioneering company SM Entertainment.

Gold House also acknowledged NewJeans' concept that is associated with denim jeans. Just like the everlasting fashion staple it offered throughout generations, NewJeans also offered timeless music that transcends through eras.

They also commended NewJeans' chart performances, especially on becoming the first K-pop group in history to sell millions of their debut album.

The description also pointed out the group's impact on Billboard Hot 100, where NewJeans showcased their skyrocketing popularity with their music and fresh presence.

"NewJeans continue to amaze the world with groundbreaking records while staying true to their musical flair and intrinsic charm."

Meanwhile, GOT7 member and soloist Jackson Wang was recognized for his musical creativity. Gold House then listed his links with music associations TEAM WANG, 88rising, Warner Records, and more.

Jackson's album "MAGIC MAN" was also applauded for reaching new heights at the Billboard 200 at No. 15, and No. 3 on Top Current Album Sales, as well Top Album Sales.

They also pointed out how it gained attention from various media outlets NPR, UPROXX, The Daily Beast, and other platforms that praised the album's influence.

Gold House also admired Jackson's historic act in 2022 Coachella, where he became the first-ever Chinese soloist to perform on stage. The singer was part of 88rising 's "Head In The Clouds Forever" roster, who performed songs on one of the world's largest music events.

Moreover, Gold House also acknowledged Jackson's impressive roles of being a fashion designer, creative director, and TEAM WANG's founder. They also complimented his hard work with group GOT7, and his affiliations with multiple international brands.

"As a globally acclaimed artist and a creative director, Jackson's goal is to showcase a Chinese-influenced sound on the international music stage, and highlight Chinese and Asian culture worldwide."
