On May 23, aespa attended the 76th Cannes Film Festival, where various celebrities gathered for the event.
According to sources on April 27, aespa members made their appearances as the global ambassadors for Chopard, a luxury Swiss jewelry brand. It's also reported that Chopard is also an official sponsor for Cannes Film Festival, which dates back since 1997.
Notably, other K-pop stars is set to attend the special event, including BIBI for "Hopeless," f(x) Krystal for "Cobweb," and BLACKPINK Jennie, who appeared for her role in "The Idol," HBO's new television series.

Initially, their agency SM Entertainment first confirmed their attendance, raising the anticipation from MYs. With aespa's inclusion in the event, they've become the first ever K-pop group to make an appearance at Cannes.

aespa Becomes 'Double-Million Seller' With Album 'MY WORLD'
In other news, aespa made history by becoming the fastest K-pop girl group to earn the "double-million seller" title.
On May 22, the accomplishment was revealed by agency SM Entertainment, declaring that "MY WORLD" has now sold 2,011,388 copies on May 21. This achievement led aespa to set a new record on their career and among K-pop girl groups.
Since "MY WORLD" was released on May 8, the album only took two weeks to surpass 2 million album sales. With this achievement, aespa has now trailed BLACKPINK, who also claimed the "double-million seller" title with "BORN PINK" in 2022.
Meanwhile, "MY WORLD" also sold out 1,372,929 album copies on its first day. This made aespa the third K-pop female group ever to exceed first day sales with 1 million copies.
On May 14, the quartet also attained the highest first-week sales among female artists in Hanteo, after "MY WORLD" collecting 1,698,784 copies from May 8 to 14.
