During a performance, MAMAMOO Hwasa accidentally injured her face and shed blood. However, her professional response to the lapse earned her praises.
On June 15, the tvN's entertainment program, "Dancing Queens on the Road," featured the cast doing a mini-concert in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do. On this day, Hwasa expressed her nervousness performing her first stage, constantly checking the audience.
Despite this, Hwasa showcased a splendid performance of "Maria" and explained why she wanted to share the stage with viewers.

"This song's title is my baptismal name and the name that I also used in foreign countries. I want to perform on stage with a good heart, but people judge me only by my appearance. In essence, it's a cheerful, hopeful, consoling song forever No.1 life song."
After Hwasa finished her performance, MC Hong Hyun Hee came up to the stage and said:
"Hwasa is the youngest in 'Dancing Queens on the Road,' but she is so charismatic that I call her an 'eonni' without realizing it on stage."
Just then, MC Hong looked at Hwasa's face then realized her wound, saying:
"Oh, is it blood or what? Hwasa is bleeding."
Hearing this, Hwasa herself and the audience were surprised, as the idol wasn't aware that she had a facial wound.

However, Hwasa explained:
"I bumped into the microphone while performing."
As fans expressed their comfort and concern, Hwasa added:
"Everyone, I didn't even know I was in pain."
When MC Hong also pointed out that the blood was in a heart shape, Hwasa gave a fan service, saying:
"This is my heart for all of you."
Following the interview, Hwasa got off the stage and was welcomed by concerned Uhm Jung Hwa and BoA at the backstage.
Hwasa, who saw her bleeding face after slightly scratching it with the microphone, showed her cool side by shouting:
"Originally, on stage, you have to bleed at least once. Fighting!"

Hwasa's anecdote of enjoying the stage without knowing that she was in pain despite a sudden accident was also known through KBS 2TV's "Stopping on the Road Once in a While" which aired in February.
At the time, Hwasa revealed her feelings when performing on stage regardless of experiencing stage accidents.
"I'm so happy as if I'm going to die. It was crazy because I slid on my knees. When I came down from the stage, blood was flowing from my knees. But I was so happy I didn't notice I got hurt. I think my eyes are spinning."
