Shawols Express Appreciation to Weverse After Doing THIS for Late SHINee Jonghyun

After the transfer of SM Entertainment artists to the Weverse app, Shawols felt grateful to the fan community for doing THIS for the late SHINee Jonghyun.

Weverse Includes SHINee Jonghyun's Artistpedia Profile After SM Artists' Transfer

Amid the fans' mixed reactions regarding the transfer of SM Entertainment artists from the KWANGYA app to HYBE's official fandom community platform Weverse, Shawols conveyed their appreciation to the channel for doing this for SHINee Jonghyun.

On September 12, artists from SM such as Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, aespa, Red Velvet, EXO, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and RIIZE celebrated their entry into the fandom-communicating app through welcome message videos.

At the same time, their artistpedia profiles were also released. Among the idols' intro, the description of Jonghyun drew the most attention.

Looking at the bottom of SHINee's profile, the late Jonghyun was included, which touched many fans, especially Shawols (fandom).

SHINee's official Weverse described him:

"JONGHYUN is a member of SM Entertainment boy band SHINee. He is a multitalented vocalist known for his powerhouse vocals with a rich tone and exceptional songwriting skills."

Weverse warmed Shawols' hearts even more after writing:

"He is the 'Forever BASE' to SHINee and SHINee World."

In SHINee's profile, the "Poet|Artist" singer-songwriter was also introduced as a current member of the group, along with Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin emphasizing that "SHINee is five."

Shawols Thankful to Weverse for Beautiful Description of SHINee Jonghyun

Initially, there was strong opposition to the transfer of SM artists to HYBE's Weverse, given that it is a community with other K-pop fandoms. There are concerns that "fandom wars" may spark at any time, and it is a hassle for both fans and idols who have to learn how to use the new app.

Regardless of skepticism, Shawols conveyed their appreciation to Weverse for giving them a happy space where SHINee Jonghyun's arts and contributions to the group were highlighted and remembered.

They also thanked the app for writing it in the present tense as well as for not forgetting that he will ALWAYS be a SHINee member although he isn't here physically anymore.

Fans cited that they didn't expect the treatment that they want for Jonghyun from HYBE, which isn't even the agency of SHINee.

Despite it looking like a "small thing" for some fans, it is truly a huge thing for the group and the fandom when SM Entertainment would often "act like he didn't ever exist in the group."

Born in 1990, Jonghyun debuted as a member of the group SHINee in 2008 and has released numerous hit songs such as "Replay," "Lucifer," and "Ring Ding-dong."

He became a solo artist by releasing his first mini album "BASE" in 2015.

Jonghyun left us on December 18, 2017, but his memories and good music remained.
