It's been a while since BTS's "Worldwide Handsome" member Jin has been in his military service, but what's the current update about the idol?

BTS Jin's Military Enlistment, Appearances During Service, More!

On October 13, HYBE Labels officially announced that Jin had canceled the delay of his military enlistment, causing his duty to be green-lit.

Being the oldest member of BTS, Jin voluntarily decided to enlist in the military despite an exceptional argument due to the group's overwhelming contribution to South Korea's economy.

After online masses debated on whether BTS should be given the pass to deter military services, the feud was concluded, and consequentially on December 13, 2022, Jin officially enlisted in the military's 5th Infantry Division recruit training center.

To express their support for Jin's military service, BTS members Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, all decided to accompany Jin on his way. The "Astronaut" singer flaunted his new semi-bald cut, along with his members who wished him luck.

Meanwhile, member J-Hope also uploaded a post on his official Instagram account, which contained a heartfelt photo with Jin. The idol also hoped for Jin to return in good health. 

As everyone in the K-pop community already knows, waiting for an idol's military service to be over is one of the most difficult things in a fan's life. 

However, that wasn't the case for Jin, as he had already prepared his future activities with BTS and had casually appeared on several occasions. ARMYs were also informed of his updates inside the military through some clips and photos that garnered attention online.

These highlighted how much Jin is respected in the base for being a good platoon leader.

Moreover, Jin shocked ARMYs on August 6 by appearing on Suga's encore concert for his "D-DAY" world tour and was accompanied by fellow bandmate J-Hope, who was also currently serving in the military.

BTS Jin's Current Status: Idol's New Update Amid Military Service

On September 1, Jin made a surprising return to platform Weverse, because on the same day, it was also Jungkook's 26th birthday!

Jin placed a comment on Jungkook's post and greeted the maknae wholeheartedly. Read Jin's birthday greeting to the "Seven" singer below:

"Our Jungkookie, Jungkookie, Jjungkookie, Jjungkookie, Jjyoongkie, happy birthday. I am so sorry I couldn't be the first person to greet you on your special day. 

I have deposited some birthday money to you (I didn't actually). Spend it on something nice. Happy birthday."

Despite Jin's busy schedules in the military, his hyung side was still apparent with him not forgetting to relay his birthday greetings to BTS's youngest member!
