2023 MAMA Awards To Be Held as 2-Day Event at Tokyo Dome, Japan in November
On September 21, CJ ENM announced the official venue and dates of one of the largest South Korean awards year-end music awards ceremonies, the MAMA Awards!
This 2023, the event will take place at the Tokyo Dome in Japan for two days, November 28 and 29.

This is huge news since the MAMA Awards, a notable South Korean awards ceremony among global K-pop fans for 24 years, will enter the "Holy Land of Japanese Performances" Tokyo Dome in Japan for the first time as a domestic music award.
In the past, the Mnet Asian Music Awards, hereinafter MAMA Awards has been held in various parts of Asia such as Macau, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Japan, leading the globalization of K-pop.
However, Japan has always been one of the crowd's favorite venues, because aside from boasting the world's second-largest music market, its Tokyo dome is also a large-scale concert hall that can accommodate about 50,000 spectators, giving both artists and K-pop fans around the world to meet on an upgraded scale.
On top of the aforementioned, Tokyo Dome is also considered a "dream stage" for many K-pop idols, as only the biggest stars can step on the stage and fill the seats; thus, it is a dream come true for rookies to perform at this venue.
2023 MAMA Awards' Theme, Concept + Where to Watch Live
Aside from the venue and event dates, the concept that will cover the entire award ceremony this year was also outlined.
This year's theme will be "ONE I BORN." It means that "I" and "MAMA," the only beings in the world with infinite possibilities, meet and become perfect "one" through positive energy.
CJ ENM expressed its willingness to show the true power of "Music Makes ONE," where many people around the world unite through music in MAMA Awards.
Ahead of the music awards, CJ ENM also hinted that the stages prepared this year became even more powerful, which will include unconventional performances that express "I" with amazing potential and infinite imagination to a stage that utilizes the artist's unique personality and an interactive stage that sympathizes with and shares "K-POP."
At the end of this year, the 24-year-old representative K-POP awards ceremony "MAMA AWARDS" is expected to open a venue for global fans to enjoy as one online and offline.
Aside from fans who will watch the event at Tokyo Dome, artists and fans will also be "ONE" thanks to live broadcasts that will be available around the world through major global digital channels including YouTube.
