MONSTA X Minhyuk's Activities Prior to Military Enlistment

Before Minhyuk enlisted in the military, the idol was active in MONSTA X's group activities and promotions.

This 2023, the idol participated in MONSTA X's 12th mini album "REASON," which was released on January 9, alongside with title track "Beautiful Liar." The idol also went with the group in their official schedules to promote their comeback.

As of October 6, the music video currently garners a total of 23,874,862 views on YouTube. The MV made buzz in the online community due to the members' impeccable performance and stunning presence.

With their new song, the promotions required Minhyuk's participation. The member also appeared in numerous comeback stages to perform "Beautiful Liar."

Afterwards, his enlistment began as soon as possible.

Minhyuk Begins His Military Enlistment: Letter to Fans, Departure, More!

Fans were surprised with the idol's announcement.

On March 13, Minhyuk shared his thoughts on MONSTA X's fan café, where he uploaded a handwritten letter. The idol officially announced that on April 4, he would be starting his mandatory military service.

"Hello, this is Minhyuk. I feel like our fans felt sad when they saw the words 'this is Minhyuk,' so I'm expressing my sincerest apologies. Soon, I won't be able to greet you for a while, because on April 4, my national duty (in the military) will now start."

With his shocking announcement, Minhyuk also shared how it hurts him to be unable to keep up his interaction with fans once he starts his duty. But the idol assured everyone that there's nothing to worry about, since he has the resolve to start the service willingly.

"The thing that hurts my heart the most, is not being able to do the things I used to do for MONBEBEs, such as visiting the app, promoting, taking photos, updating, and livestreaming. However, I plan on starting the military service with a full heart."

On April 4, MONSTA X accompanied Minhyuk to the recruit training center. The idol has featured a new buzz cut. They also included Shownu in the picture, who was currently serving at that time.

The idol has also updated fans about his well-being in the military.

MONBEBEs Discover New Update Regarding Minhyuk's Status

On October 4, MONBEBEs found a clip of Minhyuk in the military. According to the short video, the idol is presumably posing for a group photo alongside his fellow soldiers.
