Here's what happened.

BLINKs Enraged with UK Newspaper's 'Offensive' Headline Regarding BLACKPINK: 'Just disgusting...'

Earlier on November 21, the South Korean-UK state banquet was held at the Buckingham Palace. K-pop sensation BLACKPINK was one of the attendees, along with South Korea's President, First Lady, and a total of 170 guests.

The quartet was also mentioned in King Charles III's speech for their huge role in environmental sustainability and being advocates for sustainable development.

"I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, better known collectively as BLACKPINK, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience as Ambassadors for the U.K's Presidency of COP 26, and later as advocates for the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals."

BLACKPINK members stunned the world and the entire K-pop community for their achievement. This also led BLINKs to celebrate their impressive feat across social media, proving that they're indeed the biggest K-pop girl group in the world.

However, on November 26, enraged fans created a stir on social media platform X (Twitter) for British tabloid Daily Mail U.K's headline regarding BLACKPINK's attendance at the banquet, which many considered as offensive towards the group.

The headline started by saying how BLACKPINK was unheard of until their recognition from King Charles III. It continued by mentioning that "starvation diets," "daily weigh-ins" and "huge pressure to have plastic surgery," have left a "dark spectre" behind BLACKPINK.
