NMIXX Plagiarized aespa? NSWERs Refute Accusations From MYs

Amid NMIXX's highly-awaited comeback, the group was suddenly accused of copying aespa after MYs pointed out THESE "proofs." The claims were immediately refuted by NSWERs.

NMIXX to Return With New Album 'Fe3O4: BREAK,' Pre-Release Single 'Soñar (Breaker)'

Following their EP "expérgo" released in March, NMIXX is set to continue to show their worldview through MIXXPOP with a new album.

On November 29, JYP Entertainment unveiled the group's pre-released digital single concept photos.

In the shots, the six members are seen in a desolate space where only huge rocks & dry fields exist. They caught attention for their hip, gray-hooded 'fits, showing off the sextet's coolness, charisma, and confidence.

In particular, NMIXX is set to release their second mini-album, "Fe3O4: BREAK," on January 15, 2024.

Fe3O4, also known as Magnetite or Magnetic Oxide, has the chemical name of Iron (II, III) oxide. With this, the team stimulated fans' curiosity with a vague album name.

Ahead of their official comeback next year, the six-member group will first unveil its pre-release track, "Soñar (Breaker)" a Spanish word that means "to dream."

The song will be released on December 4 on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST. Before that, NMIXX had been teasing fans with its concept photos and videos.

NMIXX Accused of Plagiarizing aespa, NSWERs Defend Group

Amid its fandom's excitement, NSWERs frowned at the accusations NMIXX copied the girl group aespa, once the former's concept photos were revealed.

In particular, amid NSWER's celebration, some MYs, aespa's fans, suddenly infiltrated NMIXX's teaser posts and blatantly claimed that the group copied their faves.

Some even made fans of NMIXX for having "no originality," highlighting the similar moving 3D motion teasers and aesthetics between the two groups.

In particular, aespa released its third mini-album, "MY WORLD," in May 2023. At the time, the quartet showed an impressive 3D motion poster, leaving their virtual world, KWANGYA for the real world.

In their concept photos, the members then took photos in a space only filled with rocks and a dry field.

MYs then insisted that NMIXX's new album resembles this release so much.

In response, NSWERs defended NMIXX by creating another thread explaining that the group has been consistent in the elements of their worldview, "mixxtopia," since their debut and that they can't copy something that they've been doing even before aespa did it.

Amid this discord, there are some fans from both fandoms who called out those who started the so-called "fandom drama," reminding them that both group members were friends and they most likely don't mind if it's a coincidence or the same.
