(G)I-DLE Minnie & Shuhua Announce Hiatus Due to Poor Health
Prior to (G)I-DLE's participation at the 2023 Music Bank Global Festival, their agency Cube Entertainment announced the cancellation of the group's performance following Shuhua and Minnie's poor health.
On December 15, the top girl group (G)I-DLE was supposed to join the year-end ceremony, Music Bank Global Festival 2023. Aside from the group's stage, Minnie and Yuqi were also initially planned to form a collab unit, along with IVE Leeseo and Liz.
However, the agency canceled the group's appearance and reported the hiatus of the two members.
(G)I-DLE Minnie Temporarily Halts Activities
Earlier on December 12, (G)I-DLE attended the "Jingle Ball 2024 in Philadelphia" held in the US. All is well until Minnie had to sit out for the rest of the stage due to poor health
amid the quintet's performance.
In a released statement, Cube announced the suspension of the idol's activities in the meantime to take a rest and recover her health. The label announced that Minnie will also not join the Music Bank Global Festival, Miyeon will join the unit with Yuqi instead of her.

"Minnie recently visited the hospital due to continued difficulties in her condition, and she is currently taking a rest after suspending all her scheduled schedules according to the medical staff's opinion. Whether or not to resume her activities will be made according to the artist's recovery."
The company also reported:
"As a result, Minnie will not be participating in the unit and group stages at KBS2’s 2023 Music Bank Global Festival on December 15.
We are informing you that Miyeon and Yuqi will be appearing in the unit performance at KBS2’s 2023 Music Bank Global Festival."
Shuhua Diagnosed With Influenza Type A, (G)I-DLE Cancels Participation in 2023 Music Bank Global Festival
As a follow-up article, Cube Entertainment brought sad news to Neverlands (fandom) and announced that (G)I-DLE will sit out of the year-end ceremony ultimately. This is after Shuhua was diagnosed with Type A Influenza.
In order to ensure the artist and fans' safety, the group and label decided not to join and cancel their group's stage pre-recording last minute.
Cube Entertainment also reported that along with Minnie, Shuhua will take a break from their scheduled activities to obtain health recovery and stability. The agency said:
"Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.
This information is regarding the group's pre-recording for KBS2's 2023 Music Bank Global Festival on Friday, December 15, 2023.
Earlier this morning (15th), Shuhua visited the emergency room due to mild fever and cold symptoms and was confirmed to have type A flu. As per the medical staff's opinion, Shuhua temporarily halts all her schedules and is getting enough rest and stability."
Cube added:
"Since the disease is a contagious and dangerous disease, the KBS2 <2023 Music Bank Global Festival> group stage pre-recording scheduled for today was inevitably decided to cancel the appearance for the safety of artists and fans."
