The first month of 2024 has just started, but many K-pop artists are already making buzz in the K-pop community with their comeback announcements, activities, and fan engagements.

To measure their popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute has officially released its first brand reputation rankings for January, which involves the most trending rookie groups in K-pop.

According to the organization, the results were derived from November 7 to December 7, when various K-pop rookie groups who debuted in 2022 or later on were analyzed.

The results were also determined by several factors such as the artists' coverage from the media, their interaction with fans, and the participation of consumers.

Here are the 10 most popular K-pop rookie groups in January 2024!

1. NewJeans

With their ninth consecutive month on the list, NewJeans managed to claim the No. 1 spot for the January 2024 brand reputation rankings for rookie groups. According to the institute, the quintet received a brand reputation index of 3,406,936.

2. RIIZE

RIIZE defended their place at No. 2 after seeing a brand reputation index of 2,888,631. The boy group also gained buzz this January for their third digital single "Love 119."

3. LE SSERAFIM

In third place, LE SSERAFIM reigned with a brand reputation index of 1,631,303.

4. ZEROBASEONE

In No. 4, the space was occupied by ZEROBASEONE, who garnered a brand reputation index of 1,488,979.

5. BABYMONSTER

To complete the top five, YG Entertainment's newest girl group BABYMONSTER made it with a brand reputation index of 1,121,107.

6. BOYNEXTDOOR

BOYNEXTDOOR managed to place at No. 6 with a brand reputation index of 999,117.

7. NMIXX

NMIXX continued the rankings by receiving a brand reputation index of 841,152 for January. The girl group also made headlines for their upcoming comeback album "Fe304: BREA" and title track "Dash."
