SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, NewJeans, More Join Top 30 K-pop Groups in January 2024

January is nearing its conclusion, and with how busy K-pop idols got this month, their popularity and buzz also ended up being measured by the Korean Business Research Institute.

For this particular list, the organization released its newest brand reputation rankings, which covered all K-pop idol groups who trended the most this January.

From December 18, 2023, to January 18, 2024, huge data were collected and derived from several factors related to an idol group's degree of media exposure and interaction or feedback with fans.

Here are the Top 30 K-pop idol groups of January 2024!

1.    SEVENTEEN

In first place, SEVENTEEN is revealed as the No. 1 K-pop group for January 2024. According to the list, the boy group received a brand reputation index of 5,075,849. They also gained buzz due to their official schedules and social media content.

2.    BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK followed in second place, where they gained a brand reputation index of 4,739,803.

3.    NewJeans

Fourth-gen's leading K-pop group NewJeans received a brand reputation index of 4,121,833, which placed them at third place, completing the Top 3.

4.    IVE

IVE trailed in No. 4 after seeing a brand reputation index of 4,008,299. The girl group also trended online for their new English digital single "All Night" (feat. Saweetie), which is a remake of duo Icona Pop's 2013 hit song of the same name.

5.    RIIZE

The top five was completed by none other than SM Entertainment's fifth-gen act RIIZE, who collected a brand reputation index of 2,965,936.

6.    Stray Kids

For the month of January, Stray Kids served as the sixth most popular K-pop group of January 2024 after receiving a brand reputation index of 2,960,516.

7.    aespa

With a brand reputation index of 2,832,412, fourth-gen leader aespa managed to claim seventh place. Because of their content and activeness online, aespa has trended not only collectively as a group, but each member as well.

8.    BTS

Though all members of BTS are currently in the military, their status as the world's biggest K-pop group has been proven once again with this inclusion. According to the list, BTS had secured No. 8 with a brand reputation index of 2,813,456.

9.    (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE followed closely with a brand reputation index of 2,700,100, placing them in No. 9. Furthermore, the group is presently trending due to their pre-release track "Wife" and upcoming comeback "Super Lady."

10.  ZEROBASEONE

The Top 10 was rounded by ZEROBASEONE, who received a brand reputation index of 2,637,073.
