Pokemon Bank Compared To Obamacare As X And Y Fans Experience Delays: Trial Period Extended
As Pokemon X and Y fans enjoy the Christmas season, the Pokemon Bank worldwide release has been delayed due to the influx of users driving the Nintendo Network to a halt.
"Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS," Nintendo said according to Gamespot.
"We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience."
As of now, Pokemon Bank has been taken down from the Japanese Nintendo eShop, and has been delayed for North America, Europe, and Oceania. The players who have downloaded Pokemon Bank in Japan can still use the service.
One interesting note is that the server issues caused by Pokemon Bank have been compared to the issues revolving Obamacare.
@pokemonpodcast I wouldn't be surprised if the same people who made the Obama Care website made Pokemon Bank. JK, hope its all working soon.

According to Serebii, the free 30-day trial period will restart for previously registered users when Pokemon Bank is back up and running.
Only time will tell how long of a delay Pokemon Bank will experience.
