Legend Of Korra Book 3 And 4 Production Team Disbanding In The Upcoming Weeks After Finale Episode Completion

As "The Legend of Korra" fans continue to wait for Book 3, it appears the production team is wrapping on the series as a whole.

On June 6, "The Legend of Korra" co-creator Bryan Konietzko uploaded a photo with Michael DiMartino as well as the remaining production staff who are working on Book 3 and Book 4.

"After a long haul, we are in the home stretch with preproduction (design/color) on the Book 4 finale episodes," wrote Konietzko on Tumblr.

"I’m going to miss these incredibly talented, friendly, and funny folks when we finish in a few short weeks."

It would seem that despite Book 3 not having a release date yet, production work on Book 4 is already nearing completion (the assumption is that composer Jeremy Zuckerman has yet to score the Book 4 episodes).

This is coming after co-creator Michael DiMartino's post which revealed that production on Book 3 was complete, and simply waiting for any announcement from Nickelodeon.

"Today we finished the final sound mix of Book 3 at Levels audio," wrote DiMartino on his Tumblr page. "Can’t believe we’ve finished an entire season’s worth of shows. We’re so proud of everyone who worked so hard to make Book 3 the best season of Korra yet!"

"I know you are all excited to watch—believe me, we’re excited to share it with you! I wish I could say I had some news about Korra’s release date, but I’m sorry to say I don’t."

The earlier speculated release date announcement is at the San Diego Comic-Con this summer, so stay tuned.
