Netflix 'Daredevil' Project Update: 'Hunger Games' Star Elden Henson Announced To Be Playing Foggy Nelson: Joins 'Sin City' Star Rosario Dawson And Vincent D'Onofrio [PHOTO]

The Marvel/ Netflix "Daredevil" collaboration has filled out its cast a bit more. The "Daredevil" series revealed via twitter that Elden Henson will be playing Foggy Nelson, best friend and legal partner of Matt Murdoch / Daredevil. Nelson is close to the Hell's Kitchen community and is known as a friend to people from all walks of life. 

Henson, repped by Talentworks and manager Jelani Johnson, is in both "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movies and is also well known for his role in the "Mighty Ducks" Franchise. He also had roles in "Intelligence," and "Smith"

 "Daredevil" set to premiere in 2015 as the first of four 13-episode superhero series Marvel is producing for the streaming service - Nelson is tight with the Hell's Kitchen community, making him a friend to many in all walks of life.

Henson joins a cast that includes Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk, and Rosario Dawson, in a top-secret role, that is almost certainly Electra. The series will also include Charlie Cox from "Boardwalk Empire."

Marvel's head of television, Jeph Loeb said in a statement, "Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Marvel's Daredevil," Jeph Loeb, Marvel's head of television, said in a statement. "Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock's journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."

The series will be produced Executive-produced by Steven S. DeKnight, from "Spartacus" and Drew Goddard of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"

"Daredevil" marks the first of several Marvel hero series en route to Netflix, the sum of which will capped by an "Avengers" like TV-movie.
