'Radio Star' MC On Recent SM Entertainment Scandals: 'Super Junior Is Not Safe Either'

With the recent member changes with SM Entertainment groups such as EXO and Girls' Generation, some seem to believe that no K-pop group is safe under the record label.

During a recent interview segment on MBC's "Radio Star," Super Junior members Kyuhyun, Siwon, Leeteuk, Kangin and Eunhyuk were confronted with the recent controversies surrounding SM Entertainment groups.

"These days, it is chaotic in SM," said "Radio Star" MC Kim Gu Ra, who proceeded to ask the Super Junior members on what happened.

"When I think about it, I think the company is trying to go forward together," said Kyuhyun according to allkpop. "I'm not sure to tell the truth. I also found out about it through the internet. I didn't know this would happen when [the Super Junior members] were invited [onto the show]."

"Super Junior is not safe, either," added Kim Gu Ra. "To oppose the company, you as an individual are too weak an existence. You have no choice but to listen to the company. There is always one."

This year, two of SM Entertainment's most popular groups saw abrupt changes to its line-ups, first with Kris Wu of EXO and now Jessica Jung of Girls' Generation. Super Junior also experienced its own scandal when Chinese member Han Geng filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2009 for unlawful contract agreements.

Meanwhile, recent reports claim that while Kris Wu sought to sign with YUEHUA, Han Geng's agency in China, plans have fallen through.

"Kris failed to sign a contract with Hangeng's agency, YUEHUA," said an insider according to Ilgan Sports. "It appears that Kris is going to be signing with Hwai Brothers instead of YUEHUA Entertainment. He's at the stage right before stamping his seal on the contract."
