Lee Joon Speaks Up About Alleged MBLAQ Contract Termination

Lee Joon spoke about his future as a member of idol group MBLAQ.

MBLAQ member Lee Joon appeared at the press conference for upcoming drama Mr. Baek, where he commented on his future in MBLAQ. Rumors surfaced in October that Lee Joon and Cheondung (Thunder) would not be renewing their contracts with J.Tune Camp, the parent company of MBLAQ, after their contract termination date.

At the press conference on November 3, Lee Joon explained the situation.

"Nothing has been confirmed yet, actually," he said. "It true that the contract is getting closer to the termination date but I'm still in discussion."

"I would like to let you know once things are confirmed but since I don't use SNS, I think it will be announced through the agency or another media outlet. But nothing has been confirmed yet," Lee Joon emphasized, according to Newsen and eNewsWorld.

J.Tune Camp also stated that nothing has been confirmed in regards to Lee Joon's future with MBLAQ. Thunder's future with the group is also unknown.

Rumors started to spread about Lee Joon's future with MBLAQ in October, and it was shortly confirmed that MBLAQ's members were considering their contracts.

MBLAQ member G.O took to Twitter after it was confirmed that Lee Joon was likely not to renew his contract, and expressed his frustration about members deciding to leave the group. J.Tune Camp clarified that G.O was disappointed, but that there was no dispute between members that would keep them from continuing on as a five-member MBLAQ for the time being.

Along with appearing in the drama Mr. Baek, Lee Joon is still participating in all of his MBLAQ responsibilities. He will appear at MBLAQ's Curtain Call concerts, which will be held on November 28 and 29, in Seoul.
