Han Ye Seul to Return to Small Screen as Lawyer for New Legal Drama?

For those who are keeping track of the actress, you all probably know that Han Ye Seul is known to play all kinds of roles. She had played a fortune teller, a wealthy amnesiac, and even a North Korean spy. While those are incredible roles from amazing shows, it's safe to say that they're not the roles that people would be able to relate to that much. However, if things go well, this may in fact be the first time that Han would play a lawyer, a common professional in today's society.

It seems that actress Han Ye Seul is gearing up for a small screen comeback. As reported by Soompi, the actress has been in talks to appear in the upcoming legal drama Defendant. Now in this new series, it is said that Han Ye Seul will likely be playing the role of a high spirited lawyer who tries her best to stay cool and calm but ultimately ends up fighting with the prosecutor and even lashing out at a judge. For all her spirit, feistiness and ferocity she can't seem to win a case though.

Defendant will tell the story of a renowned prosecutor who one day wakes up in prison without recollection whatsoever of the crime that had put him there. What's worse is that he has been put on death row. As a prosecutor, he had tackled violent crimes and has been known for his ever so clean record, winning countless of cases and putting numerous criminals behind bars. This time however, he is forced to become the defendant and then prove his innocence to save his life.

The story itself sounds like something people would watch while actor Ji Sung (Secret Love, Entertainer) is still in talks for the lead. It surely is a fresh role for Han Ye Seul and people love watch underdogs overcoming great challenges.

Nothing has been confirmed yet but Defendant will definitely replace Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim this coming January.
