Park Shin Hye, EXO, TWICE, BLACKPINK, BTS and More Win Big at Asia Artist Awards 2016, See All Winners Here

The Asia Artist Awards 2016 had just recently concluded and you can only expect the joy that the fans felt after seeing their favorite stars win their respective awards. But who among the several nominated artists actually ended up going home with an award? Find out here.

Asia Artist Awards is one of those award giving bodies where k-pop artists rub shoulders with k-drama actors in an event filled with explosive performances and beautiful faces. The winners are chosen by popular vote which means fans get to choose who the winners will be. This year, the Asia Artist Awards 2016 were held at the Grand Peace Hall in Kyung Hee University located in Seoul, Soompi reports.

Lots of celebrities participated in the event such as Park Bo Gum, Park Shin Hye, YoonA, Nana, Jung Shin and more. The event featured performances by EXO, BTS, TWICE, BLACKPINK, Gummy, MAMAMOO, NCT 127 among many others.

While most artists performed smoothly and without glitch, there were a few unfortunate people who experienced technical difficulties during their performance such as BLACKPINK and BTS's J-Hope. According to Allkpop, Jennie and Lisa's microphones were both not working properly during BLACKPINK's performance of their hit singles 'Whistle' and 'Playing with Fire.' Fans were extremely upset by this technical error because this is the first time that BLACKPINK had performed in a big awards show. However, the girls still delivered a spectacular performance amid all the errors.

If BLACKPINK was a technical error, J-Hope's blunders were all his doing. His microphone fell off during the first parts of their performance. However, he was also able to attach it back before a lot of people could notice.
