2016 has been a good year for k-pop and now that the year is about to end, it's understandable that the fans would be wondering about each entertainment company's plans for their favorite idols in 2017. Luckily for the fans though, the biggest idol companies have finally released their plans for the next year.

Right now, several artists from different companies are gearing up for the year-end award shows but in the midst of that, the 'big three' companies: JYP Entertainment, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment, along with Big Hit Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment had recently revealed the plans they have for 2017. So if you're interested, check them out below!

PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT

As expected, Pledis Entertainment will still be focusing on SEVENTEEN who all had an incredible 2016. According to Soompi, the group will continue to produce new music and will also begin various activities in Japan, holding about six concerts there. Not only that, the group is also slated to conduct their first ever fan meeting on February.

Pledis Girls will also be officially debuting in 2017 but before that, they would first hold a concert in January and there, their official group name will be announced.

Han Dong Geun is also preparing for a new album which would be released in early 2017 while After School and NU'EST will focus on individual and group activities.

BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT

2016 has definitely been the best year for BTS, having broken several local and international records as well as becoming the first k-pop group to rank in the Billboard 200 in three consecutive years. Big Hit reveals that BTS would continue their efforts to branch out globally and will also begin their "WINGS" world tour in February. Besides that, each of the group members would also engage in solo endeavors starting with V who is currently appearing in the new KBS drama "Hwarang."

So far, Big Hit hasn't planned on creating a new group yet.

JYP ENTERTAINMENT

JYP revealed that GOT7 and TWICE would continue their activities while Suzy of MissA has a solo debut planned for 2017. 2PM is also planned to stay active throughout the year engaging in a wide array of activities in dramas and music until they depart for their military service. While JYP has no debuts planned for 2017, several of their solo artists like Park Ji Min, Baek Yerin and Baek Ah Yeon will be making music throughout the year as well as the band Day6.

YG ENTERTAINMENT

According to Allkpop, YG has all sorts of plans for their artists this 2017 beginning with Akdong Musician in January. Between January and April, Sechs Kies will be releasing new music as well and holding several encore concerts. BLACKPINK, YG's newest girl group, will continue to stay active in 2017 while several the labels roster like Psy, Epik High and more will continue to work on new music. After the departure of Nam Taehyun, WINNER will return as a 4-member group and will be releasing a new album. And speaking of new albums, iKON will also be returning this 2017. Unfortunately though, nothing has been planned for BIGBANG as of yet as T.O.P is set to begin his military service in February.

SM ENTERTAINMENT

SM Entertainment has big plans this 2017 beginning with NCT and its subunit NCT 127. It would be folly for SM Entertainment not to include one of their best selling groups, EXO, into the fold so you can expect the group to stay active next year. Furthermore, SM has planned numerous epic comebacks as the legendary girl group from the 90s, S.E.S is set to return in 2017. Not only that, SM is also bringing back its 'golden lineup' since several members of TVXQ and Super Junior are set to finish their mandatory military service.
