MBC is preparing the new drama to take over ”Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” as Wednesday and Thursday night drama. The drama “Missing Nine” follows the adventure of nine plane crash survivors who stranded in the deserted island.

The line-up of seven young actors and actresses are selected as the main characters of the new drama, combined with two senior actors Kim Sang-Ho and Tae Hang-Ho. Directed by Choi Byeong-Gil, who is more familiar with his nickname Ashbun, this is his fifth drama project. It tells the story of nine survivors of plane crashes who were stranded in the deserted island, which a few months later the only surviving member Ra Bong-Hee appear in Seoul to tell the story of their adventure.

The sole survivor is played by Baek Jin-Hee, which according to Seoul Daily News the story of Bong-Hee survival is intriguing for the story of the drama. Among the nine survivors, there are secret relationships which make the drama become more interesting because the conflict between them will complicate the story.

In the end the entire nine missing people were found and rescued. But there is only one living survivor, Bong-Hee, while the rest of the group was found dead. The sole survivor is played by actress Baek Jin-Hee.

Other young actors and actress in the cast members are Jung Kyoung-Ho, Oh Jung-Se, Choi Tae-Joon, Lee Sun-Bin, EXO member Chanyeol and Ryu-Won. This will be the first drama project for Chanyeol who is known as the rapper in EXO.

Recently, MBC has released several still image from the shooting location. The mysterious story of how Bong-Hee became the sole survivor become the main focus of the drama. Along with the story of other eight people who were stranded in the island but unable to make it alive.
