Berry Good Announces Official Disbandment

On May 12, 2021, at 6 pm, KST, Berry Good's company, JTG Entertainment, announced on the group's official social media accounts that Berry Good has decided to officially disband after seven years of activity.

 JTG Entertainment said that the label has merged and was acquired by Star Wave Entertainment. In addition, JTG Entertainment had a discussion with their girl group, Berry Good, and its members, Johyun and Sehyung, regarding their best course of action and the future of the group.

After long hours of careful discussion, Johyun decided to join Star Wave Entertainment and work under them, while Sehyun will end her exclusive contract and depart from the company.

JTG Entertainment expresses their deep gratitude to Sehyung for participating in promoting their girl group, Berry Good. In addition, JTG Entertainment also thanks Berry Good's fans, Very Berries, for loving and cherishing Berry Good during their activities. The company asks fans to show their support and give encouragement in the future of the members of Berry Good who went on their own path.

Berry Good's Debut & Through the Years

Berry Good first made their official debut under Asia Bridge Entertainment back on May 21, 2014, as a five-member group with Iera, Subin, Taeha, Nayeon, and Gowoon, with a music video of "Love Letter," a remake of Click-B's song that was released in 2000. They first performed the remake on Mnet's "M! Countdown," where they started their promotions as a group.

In January 2015, their label announced that Berry Good members Iera, Nayeon, and Subin departed from the group to focus on their studies. Following their departure, Asia Bridge Entertainment added new members: Daye, Sehyung, and Seoyul. In the same year, Berry Good released their singles "Because of You" and "My First Love."

In 2016, Berry Good introduced a new member, Johyun. In the same year, Berry Good launched their crowd-funded mini-album, "Very Berry." In late 2016, "Glory," the group's second mini-album, was released.

In 2018, Berry Good debuted their sub-unit, Berry Good Heart Heart, consisting of members Sehyung, Gowoon, and Taeha, with "Crazy, Gone Crazy." Taeha departed from the group after her contract with the company expired in 2019.

By 2020, Berry Good released a new single, "Accio," as a four-member group, which was included in their fourth and last extended play, "Undying Love," released on January 19, 2021.

On February 22, 2021, Gowoon and Seoyul left the group after their contracts expired.

Throughout Berry Good's seven years of activity, the group had nine members, one regular album, four mini-albums, and one single album.
