Watch EQUAL Musical Live!
The start of 2022 has brought many exciting developments to Golden Village - with GV Katong relaunched to introduce new features and services to enhance the audience's experience in January, February will be the month for K-pop fans! EQUAL the Live Musical will be streamed live simultaneously with Korea!
For two days only, Golden Village has secured the exclusive rights to the much-anticipated live musical on the big screen - 13th and 20th February 2022.
Based on the same play of the same name by a genius Japanese writer & director Kenichi Suemitsu, EQUAL is set in 17th Century Europe, where witches and heretic hunts were rampant, it is a work that reflects on today's chaotic times due to the pandemic and conspiracy theories.
The character Theo, who struggles to save Nikola, a doctor and friend of a small country town will be played by renowned K-Pop artists namely JUN. K. (2PM) and Baekho (NU'EST). Both artists are fantastic and has been building their reputation as a musical actor such as JUN. K. (2pm) was in《The Three Musketeers》and 《Jack the Ripper》and Baekho (NU'EST) starred in a broadway musical 《ALTAR BOYZ》.
As for Nikola, who has a sensitive and delicate personality who suffers from an incurable disease and always lives at home, will be played by Hong Joo-Chan (Golden Child) and Jung Jae-Hwan. Both artists are also experienced musical actors with Hong Joo-Chan (Golden Child) starring in 《ALTAR BOYZ》and 《SONATA OF THE FLAME》, and Jung Jae-Hwan, a rising star who played in 《Airport Baby》and 《All Most Mains》.
