On June 7, the organizing committee of the award show announced that The Fact Music Awards 2022 (TMA) will be held as a face-to-face event at the KSPO Dome (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) in Seoul on Oct. 8.

This is the first time in three and a half years that TMA will be held in-person since the first award ceremony. In line with the easing of social distance and recovery of people's daily life, the committee aims to provide a place for K-pop artists and fans to meet in person once again.

In the past years, the 3rd and 4th The Fact Music Awards, which were held as "on-tact" shows, were conducted safely while thoroughly complying with the government's quarantine guidelines. Based on that experience, the event staff will do the same for this year's show.

In addition to that, The Fact Music Awards 2022 is said to present an upgraded ceremony, and will feature top-tier K-pop artists who have been active in the music industry this year. These acts are said to give fans a special stage that can only be seen on that day.

With regards to voting, fans can directly cast their votes for their favorite artist through Fan N Star. This, of course, is for fan-voted categories. Besides from fan votes, the winners in other categories are determined through objective data, such as album sales, performance of songs, and a fair and strict screening process by the jury.

In particular, BTS has the most trophies earned at the Fact Music Awards. They currently have a total of 17 wins. Since the first award ceremony, the boy group has been claiming the main prizes, such as Artist of the Year, Daesang Award, and Best Album. To be more specific, the septet has three Artist of the Year, four Daesang Awards, and one Best Album (with "Love Yourself: Answer").
In addition to the major prizes, BTS also won in fan-voted categories, including Idol Live Popularity Award, Fan N Star Choice Artist Award, Fan N Star Most Voted Artist, U+Idol Live Popularity Award, and more.

The artist with the second most wins at The Fact Music Awards is Super Junior, who has 15 trophies to date. They join BTS as the only artist with more than 10 trophies. The SM boy group often took home fan-voted awards like Fan N Star Choice Award, Fan N Star Hall of Fame, Fan N Star Choice Singer, Fan N Star Largest Vote Singer, and more.
But Super Junior also managed to receive major and minor prizes like Artist of the Year and Worldwide Icon.

Following BTS and Super Junior, Kang Daniel has the third most wins at TMA with seven trophies. These three are the only acts with over five awards.
