These five male idols might give you the "city guy" vibes. However, they were actually born and raised on islands! Keep on reading for the whole list.

In the K-pop scene, male idols with sophisticated and chic charm are referred to as "cha-do-nam" (man of the cold city). This refers to stylish urban people with an "arrogant" and "picky" atmosphere. Although this might sound negative, South Koreans use this term normally to point out a man's charms.

These five male idols possessed the "chic city guy" look, but they were actually born and raised on islands. Contrary to their vibes, these stars are actually pure-hearted who hailed from faraway islands just to fulfill their dreams of debuting.

In a past broadcast, the visual idol narrated how he grew up in a village on the island as he recalled his childhood.

"There's really nothing to do on the island. I used to just swim and catch fish. I used to play outside during winter and light matches when it gets cold."

The fact that Jinwoo with clear features of a "city guy" came from a small island gained him more attention from fans, captivating their heart for his "duality."
