On April 22, a Nate Pann user created a post titled "Is (G)I-DLE Miyeon Dating The Boyz's Hyunjae?" The netizen attached several photos of what they alleged to be the "proofs" of them being in a relationship.

The netizen talked about how Hyunjae reacted to Miyeon during the latter's appearance on the idol competition show "Kingdom: Legendary War" in 2021. The female idol was part of BTOB's performance at that time.

In the performance, the (G)I-DLE member played the role of an actress who was in a relationship with BTOB Minhyuk, who acted as the spot boy. But even though the rumor blew up on the said online community, The Boyz's and (G)I-DLE's respective agencies didn't release official statements to confirm or deny that Hyunjae and Miyeon are dating.

They commented that it is not odd to find two people wearing similar clothes or products, and that Hyunjae's reaction to her performance on Kingdom is only a one-second clip, which can be interpreted in many ways.

Meanwhile, Hyunjae has completed several activities in the past few months. In May, he participated in The Boyz's Japanese comeback with their second extended play "She's The Boss." This EP marks their first release under their new Japanese label, Universal Music IST.

"She's The Boss" was released on May 27, and two days later, The Boyz began the U.S. leg of their world tour "THE B-ZONE." They first held a concert in Los Angeles, followed by shows in Chicago, Newark, Atlanta, and Dallas.
The boy group then flew to Europe and held concerts in London, Rotterdam, Paris, and Berlin. On July 9, they performed in Jakarta, Indonesia.
