With that impressive figure, BTS Jin has become the only third Korean soloist in Hanteo history to achieve more than 700,000 sales with an album on the first day of its release.

The first two solo artists to do so are EXO Baekhyun (with "Bambi") and trot singer Lim Young Woong (with "IM HERO").

Additionally, BTS Jin's "The Astronaut" is now the Korean solo album with the third-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history, bested only by "IM HERO" with 940,624 copies and "Bambi" with 760,154 copies.

As there's still six more days left before Jin wraps up his first-week sales, the total is projected to increase further. It also remains to be seen whether the BTS member will join Lim Young Woong as the only Korean solo artists to reach one million sales on the Hanteo Chart with an album in the first week of its release.

Aside from its historic first-day album sales, BTS Jin's "The Astronaut" hit the No. 1 spot on iTunes Song charts in at least 98 different countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Germany.
