RM "Wild Flower" (with youjeen)

One of the latest K-pop songs is RM's "Wild Flower" (with youjeen), the title track of his first solo album "Indigo," which came out on Dec. 2. RM joined J-hope and Jin as the BTS members to make their solo debut after nine years of being in the music industry.

RM helped co-write the lyrics for the track, which expresses his desire to live like a humble and tranquil wild flower rather than an extravagant but immediately vanishing spark.

On Dec. 5, Yoon Jisung made a comeback with a new song. Titled "December. 24," the track serves as a special Christmas present to his fans. What made "December. 24" more special is that Yoon participated in writing and composing it. Meanwhile, Jisung will hold a fan concert on Dec. 24 to spend the Christmas Eve with the fans.

Minho "Chase"

Fourteen years after his debut, SHINee Minho finally dropped his first solo album, "Chase," on Dec. 6. There are a total of six tracks in the album, including the title song of the same name.

"Chase" is a mid tempo pop song with hip hop and R&B influences and merges arpeggio synth sounds and piano loops with a heavy bassline. Its lyrics define the emptiness felt chasing after a figure in a dream and being unable to reach them.

The Boyz "All About You"

Another new K-pop song this week comes from The Boyz. On Dec. 6, they dropped a new single titled "All About You" in celebration of the fifth anniversary of their debut. Notably, the single also marks the return of the group's maknae Eric, who had been on a temporary break since March due to health issues.

A fan song, The Boyz's "All About You" is an acoustic pop track containing lyrics written by the members. It holds the sweet message of, "You, my everything is all about you."

32nd Seoul Music Awards Nominees Revealed

On Dec. 6, the 32nd Seoul Music Awards announced the nominees for the upcoming awards ceremony, which will be held on Jan. 19, 2023 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul.

This year, mobile voting will take place for the following awards: the Min Award (Bonsang), Rookie of the Year, K-Wave Award, Popularity Award, OST Award, Trot Award, Ballad Award, and R&B/Hip Hop Award. To know how to vote, click here.

BIGHIT MUSIC Issues Statement Regarding BTS Jin's Military Enlistment

In a statement they released on Dec. 6, BIGHIT MUSIC stated that they will not hold any kind of official event on the day of BTS Jin's military enlistment. They also asked fans not to go to the site where the idol will enlist in order to prevent issues that might happen from crowding.
