Review: The Voyeuristic Dream World Of Lim Kim! New Video For 'All Right' By Two Months's Kim Ye Rim Employs Sexy Surrealism [VIDEO]

It is a strange and sexy world that Two Months's Kim Ye Rim inhabits in the new music video for her new song "All Right."

Kim, who goes by the name Lim Kim on her new solo album, is the subject of a group of male voyeurs spying on her through holes in the wall in the "All Right" video.

It is possible the men watching Lim Kim from inside her wall through framed paintings like a "Scooby Doo" bad guy are meant to metaphorically represent the overbearing members of the media.

It's also possible they're just meant to be creepy.

Whatever its true meaning is the cinematography of Kim's "All Right" video possesses the perfect tone for a song that although upbeat, has an undeniable darkness.

Much like Lim Kim's first single "COLORRING," which shot up to number seven on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 after debuting last week at number 85, there is a dreamy unforced quality that Kim has that makes "All Right" stand out from the rest of the K-pop landscape.

Yet she there is also something about Kim's voice that is downright creepy sometimes.

The musical backing in "All Right" enhances that fact, with spooky piano plinks and minor organ chords.

The song, which begins with an intro that very close to that of The Roots hit "Break You Off," builds into something quite different.

Originally conceived as a way for Kim Ye Rim to continue to create music while her Two Months bandmate Do Dae Yoon finishes her schooling, the debut Lim Kim EP, "A Voice" was released on Monday.

The album includes five songs, "Number One" (written in celebration of Two Months's two-year anniversary), "Carol's Pun" and "You Don't Know Well" in addition to the singles "COLORRING" and "All Right."

The look of the "All Right" video has a Marcel Duchamp or Dali-esque surrealism, but what really makes it so arresting is Kim.

She is a strikingly beautiful star, with a face as original as the voice that comes out of it.

In a world of often over-the-top, overbearing pop divas, Lim Kim's appeal is exactly the opposite; she seems to prefer to subtly simmer below the surface.
