On February 11, Weibo started buzzing after rumors of Huang Zitao dating an artist under his label, L.Tao Entertainment, started making its rounds!
Many popular bloggers have surfaced proof that Tao is dating Xu Yiyang, a singer and soloist under his label. One significant piece of evidence that surfaced is from a live stream Tao held in the past.

Tao held up his phone during the live stream to show the viewers a series of messages he sent to his loved ones. Eagle-eyed quickly noticed that Tao's profile picture shows two people having fun at the beach. It is believed that the person in the photo is Tao and Xu Yiyang.
After doing some digging, people were able to find the actual photo. The photo shows a man playing with a girl wearing a black shirt with white text at the back. While their faces are not shown, it is believed the male is Tao since it is his profile picture.

People were able to determine that the girl in the photo is Xu Yiyang after it was discovered the female idol had shared a photo of her wearing the same shirt, with her hair styled the same way, at the beach on Chinese social media.
In the photo, Xu Yiyang is seen walking alongside someone on the beach, and the shirt the man is wearing is identical to the one seen in Tao's profile picture.

It was later discovered that both artists had uploaded photos taken in front of the same house. It is believed that the home is a resort that the couple has been to several times together.

With the evidence presented, people speculate that Tao and Xu Yiyang are deliberately dating in front of their fans.
In 2020, Xu Yiyang competed on "Produce Camp 2020," where Tao was a mentor. The male did not hide his support for the girl despite being a mentor on the show.
