TVXQ Comes Back: A Look At The Waiting Room

Hello. This is TVXQ. Did you enjoy our comeback performance for the new year? We performed for the big 3 music programs from the 3rd to the 5th. Our title song "Something" is TVXQ's first attempt at swing. "Ten" is a song to commemorate our 10 year anniversary.

It was the first time TVXQ performed as a group in Korea in about 1 year and 4 months. We were so excited to return to the stage together. We prepared long and hard for the performance, and were very nervous as well. Our fans probably felt the same way, right?

That's why we prepared this for you. Here are some behind the scenes stills that couldn't be captured on television, so you can catch our new type of charm here. We'll introduce U Know Yunho and Max Changmin.

January 3rd, KBS 2TV's "Music Bank"

Here's me, Changmin, in the "Music Bank" waiting room. "Dispatch" came to greet us on our way here. The first thing I did when I got to the set was to... put clips in my hair. Have you ever seen such a handsome man wearing hairclips like so? Why did I clip my hair, you ask?

Ta-da! It was to style it. Our new song "Something" is of a swing genre. To match our song's genre, I decided to go with a wave hairstyle. Do you see each of the curls in the wavy hairstyle? It's all thanks to the hairclips we put in earlier. Now there's added volume to the hair.

Here Yoonho's getting his hairstyle check as well. The hair stylist nuna was putting the final touches on his hair. Unlike me, Yunho decided to part his front hair to the side. Without his hair covering his face, his jaw line has become much more prominent. Very, very prominent.

This shot was taken right before we went into rehearsal. Yunho drinks buckets of water before going onstage. I thought I was the only nervous one, but I guess he was anxious too. Even Yunho's photo of drinking water looks like it's from a photo shoot! Doesn't it? Is that only me?

Here we are reviewing the monitor right after our rehearsal. Since "Something" and "Ten" both involves props in the performance, we need to pay special attention to the choreography. Yunho and I checked the rehearsal with our eagle eyes. Fortunately the rehearsal was all clear~ We must be made to perform.

January 4th, MBC's "Show! Music Core"

Hello. Yunho has taken over the baton. I want to show you the waiting room for "Music Core." Since it was our 2nd comeback stage, we were a lot more relaxed than the day before. Even still, we looked in the mirror and practiced, practiced, and practiced some more. You know, since TVXQ should always strive for perfection.

Maybe we practiced a little too hard before we actually went onstage. I was talking to Changmin on the sofa, and fell asleep for a short while. And the staff decided to capture it on camera~ It was a really short nap, but a very fulfilling one. Changmin's face expression is so real. I'm sorry, Changmin.

This is after the short and sweet nap. Here we are moving towards the stage. The staff cheered us on with arms wide open. They were yelling out "TVXQ Hwaiting!" and "TVXQ Jjang!" from here and there. Their cheer gave us the energy to perform our comeback stage!

We finished our "Music Core" comeback stage successfully, too. After we performed "Ten," I called Changmin over to take a picture with me. The fans cheered very loudly, probably thanks to the fact that we didn't make any mistakes. Even when we came down to the waiting room my heart was still pounding in my chest. Aren't our emotions apparent in our expressions?

Next was our "Something" performance. Changmin changed into a black suit. Now that I look at this photo, Changmin is all grown up now, too. Before he just looked like a younger brother, but there's no other than manly look to him. What do you think?

January 5th, SBS' "Inkigayo"

Changmin here again. Here we are at the set of our last comeback stage for "Inkigayo." We had some special guests in the waiting room this day. They were.... EXO! They're our junior group at the same agency. They're very warm-hearted youngsters.

Luhan and Xiumin joined the fanclub Casiopea. Don't they look so cute holding the red balloons? Oh and how hard they waved it about! Thanks to them we were even more energized for our performance. Thank you, EXO~

Here's a shot with EXO's leader Suho. He approached us quietly before we went onstage for "Something" and cheered us on. We used the time in between performances to talk about this and that. Chatter sure is a great stress reliever~ 'It's the best~' (Kim Gu Ra version).

Yoonho and Chen are immersed in a conversation in this shot. Chen is EXO's 'beagle' member, right? But not on this day. He seemed unusally shy in front of Yunho. Yunho seemed to like it, and patted him on the back like a big brother.

Now... shall we take a look at our "Something" performance after we received support from EXO? We'll do our best to show you even better performances from now on. We'll show you an upgraded TVXQ every single time. Please cheer for us~
