EXO's Lay Pushes Through With Fan Event Despite Worsening Waist Injury

EXO member Lay's deep dedication to his fans was proven once again when the idol pushed through with a scheduled fan event despite aggravating a previous waist injury.

Lay was set to meet around 150 fans at the Idol Hug's event on May 19 but in the morning his waist injury worsened to the point where he had to receive treatment, reports Koreaboo.

Despite the discomfort, Lay was reportedly determined not to disappoint fans who had trooped to the venue as well as those who allotted time to watch the live streaming, so he continued to the event.

Organizers were said to have delayed the event for an hour but Lay eventually arrived to the venue to perform his event commitments.

This news is the latest in a series of injuries suffered by Lay this month. On May 9, Lay was reportedly rushed to a Chinese hospital after sustaining a neck and back injury.

Lay fans had been worried about the idol's health, and were also concerned that the injuries could become a reason for him to leave EXO.

Member Tao's father had said that his son will be leaving the group in order to take care of his health.

"I don't want to see my son injured over and over again. If I must chose between my son's career and his health, I choose the latter," Tao's father had written and posted on the microblogging site Weibo.

We wish Lay a speedy recovery from all his injuries.
