Tom Cruise was reportedly furious over Katie Holmes' apology of sorts to Leah Remini when the latter released her Scientology tell-all in the news.

In an item on Radar Online, it was mentioned that the "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" actor was "furious" when the "Touched With Fire" actress gave an apology to Leah Remini amid the latter's Scientology tell-all.

"Tom is furious with Katie because he knows, and the church knows, that she has a nondisclosure agreement," an insider told InTouch as cited by the source above. "Katie agreed not to spill any secrets."

"Katie is clearly getting back at Tom," the insider also said. "This is the most aggressive she's been since she blindsided him with divorce papers three years ago. She's humiliating Tom again."

As reported by People magazine more than a week ago, Katie Holmes declined to be interviewed by ABC's "20/20" regarding Leah Remini's statements about the Church of Scientology in the news. Despite not acknowledging the accusations and allegations involving her ex-husband Tom Cruise, the "Touched With Fire" actress did say sorry to "The King of Queens" star for no specific reason.

"I regret having upset Leah in the past, and wish her only the best in the future," the "Touched With Fire" actress said in a statement as released by her publicist.

The tell-all about Scientology and Holmes' relationship with ex-husband Tom Cruise at the time of their marriage was followed up with further stories. It included an accusation that Holmes left daughter Suri Cruise crying by herself at one time but the actress did not address the issue anymore.

Remini, on the other hand, continue to speak about the matter. She also showed some admiration to Katie Holmes despite her revelations about her in the news.

"I now see how hard things must have been for her and I'm so happy to see her and her daughter doing so well," Remini told People magazine about Holmes as cited by E! Online. "I feel a kinship with her as a mother who wants do the right things for their child."
