The wait for "Penny Dreadful" season three is now less than a year, there's three new teasers, and there's plenty of hidden plot spoilers in all of the cast announcements from the previous months.

An important part of theorizing what is to come in the new episodes however is figuring out the set photos.

Thanks to some photos from producer Christopher King on Twitter and the official "Penny Dreadful" Instagram, fans can add some new "Penny Dreadful" season three spoiler photos to their collection. The most recent photos, pictured below, hint at a potential Western-themed scene (or scenes) to come toward the end of the new season.

If it is indeed a "western" as King is somewhat implying, perhaps the scenes they are filming have something to do with Ethan Chandler (played by Josh Hartnett) since he's the sharp shooter. Add in his new "intense, enigmatic Native American friend" Kaeternay (set to be played by Wes Studi), and it seems like fans might be able to expect some kind of scene that takes place in the American frontier.

Nothing is certain at the moment other than the notion that "Penny Dreadful" season three will involve scenes from different locations than the usual streets of Victorian London. Showrunner John Logan confirmed this last year shortly after the new season of "Penny Dreadful" was green-lit.

"Season three is a real change of pace for us, which is good. We can get out of the alleys and cobblestone bars of Victorian London and see a bit more of the world. Essentially there's a pull bringing these characters together, and it's supernatural, partly romantic, partly shared destiny," said Logan to THR.

"Penny Dreadful" season three is set to premiere on May 1.
