‘NCIS’ Season 13 Cast: Sarah Clarke Joins Team As New Agent; Will She Be A Mainstay?

It's official! Actress Sarah Clarke is the newest addition to the "NCIS" Season 13 cast list, where she would be playing the role of new special agent Tess Monroe.

Earlier this year, CBS already confirmed that FBI special agent Tess Monroe will be joining the "NCIS" team although by the time it was announced, no actress was slated yet to play the role.

"Monroe is a newly-transferred agent from New York City who has been through multiple divorces and has no children," the character was initially described in a report by TVLine.

"She considers her fellow agents as family and is described as 'quick-witted, tough, and shrewd.' Though she appears to be the no-nonsense type, Monroe is said to have a big heart. She values honor, justice, and doing the right thing, and will fight to uphold these values and protect her team. Monroe is also said to be fiercely determined, strong, sexy, and sarcastic," the description went on.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "NCIS" showrunner Gary Glasberg said, "We feel so fortunate to have Sarah Clarke joining us to play Tess."

"I've been a fan of hers going back to 24 and more recently 'Bosch.' She's a gifted actress, a total pro, and we can't wait to introduce her to our 'NCIS' family and have some fun," Gary Glasberg added.

Sarah Clarke is best known for her role as Nina Myers in "24" and as Renee Dwyer, the mother of Bella Swan played by Kristen Stewart in "Twilight." Clarke also made appearances in "Nikita," "The Tomorrow People" and "Covert Affairs."

Christian Post, in its report, said that "NCIS" is clearly expanding its roster in preparation for the impending exit of Tony DiNozzo played by Michael Weatherly. And although Sarah Clarke is currently slated as guest star for Season 13, her character may be promoted to Season 14, perhaps depending on the audience's reception on her role.
