Beck the popular American singer, songwriter, producer had disclosed in 2015 that his album will be released in 2016. However, the fans have been waiting patiently and there is no update from the official sources about the release date.

There were reports of him releasing two studio albums this year. Then after the death of David Bowie, it was also speculated that Beck might include tributes to the legend in his upcoming albums. In Jan. 2016, the band ''The Chemical Brothers'' collaborated with Beck and released their LP ''Born in the Echoes.'' The single ''"Wide Open'' which featured Beck was appreciated by the fans. Consequence of sound published an article about this release.

So when will the wait for the untitled thirteenth studio album end? The fans are waiting for some new music after Beck released ''Morning Phase.'' ''Beck's 2015 single "Dreams" whetted the appetites of fans who enjoyed his Grammy-winning Morning Phase but missed the pop-and-lock rhythms that dominated his early breakthroughs. Luckily, there's more of the latter to come on the 45-year-old's 13th album. "It's a lot more up-tempo," says "Dreams" co-writer/co-producer Greg Kurstin. "It reminds me of some of the stuff I heard from Beck when I first got into him, like Odelay and Midnite Vultures. It's really fun and beat-driven'' reported EW. So even though this is one of the most awaited albums of 2016, the details are not yet known.

Since 2015, many media sources have been talking about the release of this thirteenth studio album. ''Celebrated alt-rocker Beck is working on a new record, and it's going to have the upbeat vibe of the singer/songwriter's funky 2015 single Dreams. Producer Greg Kurstin, whose credits also include Adele and Lily Allen, explained that he and Beck are hoping to finish songs for a new album early in 2016 in an interview with Entertainment Weekly'' reported Digital trends.

"There's a lot of variety, but it's a lot more up-tempo than his last album," said Kurstin. "I think Dreams is a small idea of what we have been working on'' he further added.
