‘Sadako Vs. Kayako’ Crossover Movie Coming This June

After they had made the "Sadako vs. Kayako'" as an April Fool's joke last year, it turns out that the makers behind it will make the crossover happen according to Rappler. The director behind the project, Koji Shiraishi, even made a new trailer for the "Sadako vs Kayako" crossover movie. New promotional videos have been revealed as its release date draws nearer.

In the official website of the "Sadako vs. Kayako" crossover, it was revealed that the movie will be released in Japan on Jun 18, 2016. Mizuki Yamamoto will take on the role of Yuri Kurahashi. She will be caught in between two vengeful ghosts: Sadako Yamamura from "The Ring" and Kayako Saeki from "Ju-On," also known as "The Grudge."

According to Under The Gun Review, the main character Yuri Kurahashi was able to watch the videotape which has the spirit of Sadako ("The Ring") while staying inside the house where Kayako ("The Grudge") resides. Just like the other movies, both Sadako and Kayako will unleash their anger as well as their vengeful emotions to the protagonist and the people around her. It says here that "either after or during the process of terrorizing Yuri and her friends," both of the spirits will fight each other.

The cast are Mizuki Yamamoto as Yuri Kurahashi. She is caught in between Sadako and Kayako. Tina Tamashiro, as Suzuka Takagi, will bear Kayako's curse after entering the abandoned house.

Masahiro Komoto is Shinichi Morishige, who is a professor that investigated the cursed videotape. Aimi Satsukawa is Natsumi who has also watched the video together with Yuri. Masanobu Ando will portray Keizo, who is a spirit medium while Misato Tanaka is Fumiko Takagi. the mother of Suzuka

Most of the "Versus" style horror movies didn't exactly click with a lot of people. However, many fans were intrigued on how this "Sadako vs. Kayako" crossover movie will be created. It will also be interesting because these two famous Japanese horror icons will be in one movie at the same time.
