TV by the numbers had reported in Aug. 2015 that Fallon signed a contract with NBC to remain as host until at least 2021. "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" is America's #1 late-night talk show, averaging a 1.11 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall for the 2014-15 season. "Tonight" dominates the time period over its ABC and CBS competition with a +79% margin of victory in adults 18-49'' reported the article.

"Jimmy has been an important member of the NBCUniversal family for 17 years. "The success of the 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' has been nothing short of remarkable. We couldn't be prouder of the show he and his team put on every night and couldn't be happier that he will remain with us at 30 Rock at least through 2021'' he added further.

On May. 2, 2016, the 462nd episode was aired. On May 4, 2016, Fallon had got the cast of ''Captain America: Civil War'' and the episode was extremely successful.
