In the beginning of the year, there were many reports and rumors that Shakira's eleventh studio album sometime this year or the beginning of next year. As per the latest update, her new album is in the making and soon will be released. Her Latin song in collaboration with Carlos Vives was released.

The fans have been waiting to hear more from this "Hips Don't Lie" famed singer ever since she went on a hiatus to take care of her new born son. Her son Sasha Piqué Mebarak, who was born on Jan. 29, 2015, is now one year old and the pop and Latin pop diva now can resume her work in studio.

As per the latest update on Local10, Carlos Vives and Shakira released a new single ''La Bicicleta.'' This song will be included in the album of Vives entitled ''La Fiesta de Todos'' which will be released in 2017. This song is a mix of vallenato and electronic reggaeton and is the first single for this upcoming album. ''This is a song that represents us both very well. He is the King of Vallenato. He is one of the most impressive artists that Colombia has given us'' said Shakira in an interview with Billboard. ''I've always admired him, the style of his compositions, his charisma, his commitment to our country, his incomparable artistic talent and I'm very honored to be invited to participate in this project'' she added further.

"I've always had a dream to co-write, produce and record a song with Shakira so that together we can show our Colombia to the world," said Vives in a statement.
