When YG Entertainment is mentioned, it is only natural for people to think about k-pop idols like the internationally successful groups BIGBANG and 2NE1 and the worldwide phenomenon, Psy. However, while these idols are formidable in their own right and category, they're not the only top visual artists that the talent agency has to offer.

In fact, YG is home to tons of up-and-coming and famous actors, actresses and TV personalities! Many of whom you've probably already heard of. Your favorite celebrity might be a YG artist and you didn't even know about it. Here are some celebrities that are signed to YG Entertainment as reported by Koreaboo.

You probably didn't know that Geum Jan-di of the hit TV show 'Boys Over Flowers' is from YG Entertainment, did you? Well, if you're surprised by that then you'd be even more surprised to know that Ku Hye Sun was originally a trainee in YG and was supposed to debut with 2NE1's Park Bom and Sandara Park as part of an idol group. However, YG advised her to pursue her acting career instead. She debuted as an actress in 2004 but soon rose to fame in 2006. She hit stardom status when she portrayed Geum Jan-di and became known all over Asia. Ku Hye Sun is also a singer and songwriter and has engaged in various other activities aside from those fields.

Lee Jong Suk is definitely one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry today. One of the most eligible leading men, Lee started his career as a trainee for an idol group in a different agency. However, he quit from the agency after they failed to launch him as an actor. Having starred in many successful TV series and films, Lee Jong Suk first rose to fame in the teen drama 'School 2013' and earned his first acting award for the said series. He would go on to star in the critically acclaimed dramas 'I Can Hear Your Voice', 'Doctor Stranger' and 'Pinocchio' from which he garnered several acting awards. Madame Tussauds unveiled a wax figure of him in Hong Kong, an honor so far only given to three other Korean stars. He became a YG artist on May 2016.

Nam Joo Hyuk may not be a household name yet, but he is steadily getting there. This 22-year old first debuted in 2013 as a model and would then appear in music videos for Akdong Musician. He made his acting debut in the 2014 tvN drama 'The Idle Mermaid' in a supporting role. He would then go on to appear in 'Who Are You: School 2015', and 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo'. He will be starring in his first lead role in 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo' alongside fellow YG artist Lee Sung Kyung. Nam Joo Hyuk is also a dog lover.

Another up and coming artist, Stephanie Lee is a Korean-American model and actress. According to Soompi, she has walked for notable fashion brands like Tom Ford, Chanel and Adidas and has modeled for Tyra Banks, the creator of the hit American TV series 'America's Next Top Model.' She made her acting debut in 'Sunam Girls' High School Detectives' and first rose to fame in the TV series 'Yong Pal.'

Aside from the stars mentioned above, YG Entertainment is also home to respected actors and actresses such as Choi Ji Woo, Cha Seung Won, Yoo In Na, Kim Hee Jeong, Gang Dong Wong, Bae Jung Nam and many others.
