Big Hit Entertainment's Bang Si Hyuk reveals which member motivated him to form BTS

BTS is probably one of the hottest boy bands right now and the recent success of their album WINGS had definitely propelled them to superstardom status and as k-pop icons. Now, they're one of the most recognizable names in k-pop but it hasn't always been this way. BTS didn't just get popular over night. No, they worked hard to achieve the kind of success they are experiencing now. Speaking of their popularity, Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si Hyuk recently talked about the group's success and how one of their members motivated him to create BTS.

According to Allkpop, Bang Si Hyuk was recently interviewed by X Sports and there he revealed his thoughts about BTS success and popularity along with what motivated him to form the group.

"The success of WINGS for me was not to be expected. However, I also think that it didn't come just with luck. BTS had continuously worked hard and now they are just showing how much they have grown. The group will continue to improve and grow. I personally thank all the people who had given their love and support to BTS." Bang Si Hyuk said when the topic of discussion turned towards the positive reaction and success of BTS's second studio album, WINGS.

When the CEO was asked as to how the group came about, he explained, "What really motivated me to form BTS was their leader, Rap Monster. After seeing him rap, it really motivated me to create a hip hop group and afterwards, I started looking for members. Later on, I realize that BTS shouldn't just be a group that does hip hop but one that tells their individual stories. This idea continues to resonate in BTS music until today."

Bang Si Hyuk also revealed that he made a promise to BTS before they debuted, Soompi reports. "I told them that if they believe in their potential as a team and that if they do their best, I will help them become established music producers. Because they believe in my promise, I strive to honor that promise now and in the future."

Now with a mentor like him, you can only expect good things to come from BTS.
