BREAKING: 2NE1 To Return With One Final Song

By Carlo Rodriguez | January 05, 2017 11:51 AM EST

2NE1 may have already disbanded but that doesn't mean they couldn't release one last song together as a group.

Blackjacks definitely have something to look forward to as it has been confirmed that 2NE1 will be coming together for the last time just to say their final good bye to their fans. According to Koreaboo, three of the original four members of 2NE1, mainly CL, Park Bom and Sandara Park, have already finished recording a new song titled "Goodbye."

Soompi reports that the former members of 2NE1 have flown overseas last January 3 to film the music video for their final song. With this, there really is no stopping 2NE1 as they give their fans a parting gift.  YG Entertainment also confirmed the news saying, "2NE1's disbandment came all of a sudden and the members were truly sad for not being able to say their last farewells to their fans so now, they have once again come together for one final song."

"2NE1 was loved not only in Korea but the whole world as well and through this new song, they will be bidding their fans farewell." YG added.

Unfortunately, Gong Minzy who had earlier left the group back in May will not be joining the rest of the former 2NE1 members. The reason for this is that she has already signed with a new label. 2NE1's disbandment was announced in November and it quickly became the top of the headlines. Fans were truly shocked to find out that their favorite group had disbanded without even releasing a final album. 2NE1's contract with YG had ended last May and it is said that the three members who remained sat down with the top honchos of YG in a long discussion where it was decided that it would be best for the group to disband.

CL and Dara have decided to remain under YG's banner as solo artists while Park Bom is yet to renew her contract or sign with another label.

In the seven years since 2NE1's debut, they became YG Entertainment's flagship girl group and was instrumental into spreading the k-pop influence into various reaches of the world, including the U.S.
