Shortly after YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk revealed the reason behind the disbandment of 2NE1, the group's profile on Naver deleted Minzy and Park Bom. The two ex-members of the popular group also shared their thoughts regarding the group disbanding. 

Previous reports claim that 2NE1 was supposed to carry on as a trio after Minzy decided against renewing her contract with YG entertainment to pursue a solo career. However, due to the drug controversy that involved another 2NE1 member, Park Bom the CEO of YG Entertainment had to make a big decision. 

Yang Hyun Suk decided to disband the popular group 2NE1 which shocked many fans. AllKpop reported that the YG Entertainment CEO opted to prioritize the mental and physical health of Park Bom. Despite Park Bom's interest to continue promoting the group after the drug scandal, the decision has been made final and the group is already working on their farewell song "Goodbye."

Now that the 2NE1 farewell song is in the works, another ex-member, Minzy has shared her feelings via Instagram. Minzy expressed her disappointment on finding out that the group was doing one last song without informing her. According to the artist, she is part of the song's promotional picture, yet had to find out about everything on a news article.

Only a few days after Yang Hyun Suk revealed that Park Bom was the reason for disbandment, the group's profile on one of Korea's most popular Web portals was updated. The 2NE1 profile on Naver has erased Park Bom and Minzy. Currently, the profile displays CL as the group's leader, the vocal, and the rapper as reported by Koreaboo. On the other hand, Sandara Park is listed as the vocal. While the group's disbandment has already been officially announced, fans remain optimistic that the group will reunite as hinted by Yang Hyun Suk. Many 2NE1 fans and supporters share their opinions on Social Media, some saying that they are willing to wait for 2NE1 to reunite, even if it takes years.
