BTS’ Rap Monster Talks Recent Record-Breaking Success & Plans To Debut In The USA

There's no denying that BTS has been one of the most influential boy group in K-pop industry. Their music and choreography innovation have made the boys of BTS gained worldwide recognition. BTS' latest albums "Wings" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" recently set another record as the highest-selling album in just a month.

On March 9, Gaon released its monthly album chart for February. According to Soompi, BTS has sold over 710,000 copies of latest album "You'll Never Walk Alone", in addition to "Wings" that has collected fantastic numbers of 780,000 since its release in October. The selling number of both albums has made BTS sold approximately 1.5 million copies in total, making them one of the best-selling K-pop artists of all time. BTS not only broke the record of the top-selling album. The group is also flying high with their YouTube record-breaking videos "Not Today" and "Spring Day".

BTS frontman, Rap Monster has shared what he has in mind following the group's endless success, from breaking the top-selling record, outselling global musicians' album and their plan to debut internationally in The U.S. Rap Monster and his fellows at BTS have been working hard since their debut in 2013 to make their dreams as the king in the K-pop industry come true. Being placed in the same spot or even outselling global artists like Fifth Harmony, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears has never been in the mind of BTS members hence it feels like an honor for them.

During the special interview with Idolator, BTS' Rap Monster also expressed his gratitude to fans that have been supporting the group since the beginning. When he was asked what he thought about the group's success in America while they haven't officially debuted there, Rap Monster only said that he and the other BTS boys are excited to look forward to their great success in America. If that eventually happens, he wished that the group will have a chance to collaborate with popular names like Eminem, Pharrell, Drake, Frank Ocean, or Post Malone.

Meanwhile, Rap Monster and the boys are gearing up for their world's tour next stop in Santiago, Chile on March 11. They will also perform in first Mexico's KCON in Mexico City on March 17-18. BTS will continue their tour to Southeast Asia and Australia in April and May.
