Yong Junhyung of Highlight’s Reported Solo Comeback: Still in Talks, His Agency Responds

Yong Junhyung was reported lately to be preparing for a solo comeback. The Highlight member was even buzzed to have finished the MV of his new solo track. Allegedly, rapper Heize would be also featured in the comeback song.

According to Soompi, Yong Junhyung's management agency, Around Us Entertainment, has already rejoined to the reports. "It is true that we are in discussions about a solo album, however, nothing has been confirmed yet," was agency's reported response. The singer's last solo track "After This Song Ends" was released in Apr. 2016.

On the other hand, Highlight allegedly has been very successful with their debut track "Plz Don't Be Sad." The group won first place on SBS "Inkigayo," reportedly the fifth win with their song. Accordingly, second place was IU's "Through the Night," and "Spring Day" of BTS was in third place.

Yong Jun Hyung is also known as Poppin' Dragon or Joker, according to Dramalist. He is a singer-songwriter, rapper, actor, dancer, and record producer. He was formerly a member and the lead rapper of the boy group Beast. He was also once a member of the boyband Xing and was featured as a rapper in various singles such as Hyuna's "Change."

Highlight is a boy band formerly known as Beast. The group released three Korean full-length albums as Beast, including nine Korean mini-albums and two Japanese full-length albums, not to mention several singles as well. The group debuted as Highlight in 2017 with the mini-album "Can You Feel It?"

Beast was beforehand known as a group of recycled materials. This was the name initially given to the group by the media for its unsuccessful endeavors. However, the group has exerted much effort to achieve significant commercial success. It is now rank as one of the most awarded groups of all time at the Golden Disk Awards, the Seoul Music Awards, and the Melon Music Awards.
