BTOB is an acronym for Born to Beat. It is a boy group formed in 2012 by Cube Entertainment. The boys debuted in Mar. 2012, when they performed on "M! Countdown" with their song "Insane" and "Imagine." The group reportedly released their first full-length album "Complete" in 2015.

The boys allegedly also appeared on the JTBC sitcom "I Live in Cheongdam-dong" while still the aspiring boy band working towards a debut. Accordingly, Lee Minwoo had dropped out after their first appearance on the sitcom that upset many fans. BTOB's agency Cube Entertainment clarified that Minwoo has health problems such that he could not blend with the group.
