There are some who love BLACKPINK but still gave their honest review of the new release. According to some, "How You Like That" is somewhat similar to their past music videos.

"Blinks are going to come for me for this comment. But in all honesty, the songs sound a lot like their other releases and for such a long time between comebacks and lack of discography compared to their peers. I just expected to a lot more from a big group and something fresh and unexpected. But if it's a pre-release, then maybe I'll be proved wrong," commented one netizen.

"Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed : ( I know their potential is so much more than what they put down now," another one wrote.

Recycled Concept

Some would say that they reused the same concept from the get-go. Thus, it underwhelmed other viewers.

"BLACKPINK's concept really needs to be changed. Since the Boombayah era, the title songs all sound the same," one netizen pointed out.

"Am I the only one who didn't really like it? I was expecting something better. It sounds like their old song," added one commenter.

Nevertheless, BLINKs are ready to defend their favorite ladies, stating that they are really satisfied with how the newest single turned out. They believe that the choreography, music lines, and the onscreen performance of BLACKPINK are impressive and worthy of praise.

On June 26, BLACKPINK returned and dominated the local and international charts upon officially pre-releasing their most awaited "How You Like That," putting an end to the "KILL THIS LOVE" era that was unveiled a year and over ago.

As of press time, the MV is viewed by over 63 million YouTube users in only 16 hours and has now become the fastest K-Pop MV to surpass 50 million views on the video-streaming site.
