MAMAMOO member Moon Byul will release her fourth solo mini album, laundri, on August 20 at 6 p.m. KST, her agency RBW Entertainment announced on July 24.
The title of the album is a play on the English word "laundry" with the final "y" replaced by "i," embodying an "emotional laundromat" where various feelings or emotions are cleansed and renewed.
The lead single, "Goodbyes and Sad Eyes," features a buoyant guitar riff and crisp drum line that underscore the lightness after a breakup, all delivered through Moon Byul's distinctive vocal tone. Choreographed by Jay-Rick, the performance combines quirky, bold movements with point choreography that visually expresses the song's lyrical hooks.
Laundri consists of eight tracks, each conveying a unique emotional state. Moon Byul contributed to writing and composing "Cotton," "Over You," and "Take-off," and penned lyrics for "Da Capo," "Chocolate Tea," and "ICY BBY," demonstrating her deep involvement in shaping the album's narrative. The full tracklist includes "Goodbyes and Sad Eyes," "Cotton," "Da Capo," "Chocolate Tea," "DRIP," "Over You," "ICY BBY," and "Take-off."
Among these, "ICY BBY" was pre-released in June, offering a glimpse of the album's blend of confidence and vulnerability. The digital single, co-written by Moon Byul, has already resonated with fans worldwide, showing her ability to combine emotional depth and catchy rhythms.
Moon Byul's laundri album marks her first domestic comeback in a year, following the August 2024 Starlit of Twinkle: REPACKAGE. It arrives on the heels of her debut solo world tour and recent fan concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, reaffirming her growing global presence. The album will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Melon.
