The King of Masked Singer  is a South Korean musical reality show or a singing competition but with a twist that airs on MBC. The twist is that the contestants have to maintain an air of secrecy by wearing elaborate masks to hide their appearance at all costs. The main focus of the show may be determining who is the best singer, but the gimmick and fun lies in guessing the face to whom the voice belongs.

The contestants appear in pairs in a musical face-off. The judges decide who sang better and the one on the losing side has to reveal their identity. King of Masked Singer has been a highly popular show in Korea for a very long time now, so much so that Western entertainment has also adopted the format of the show to recreate it in America. Such is the immense popularity and innovation as well as the uniqueness and appeal of the show. As it happens, there have been numerous times that idol singers have participated in the show. Here's a list of some of them!

1. EXO CHEN

With his incredible range and versatility, Chen had to be on the show. What was even more fascinating was the fact that he managed to go all the way up to the finals and win the crown without anyone revealing his identity. As this show is really prestigious in Korea and the quality of artists on it is just that amazing, it was a huge feat for Chen and through him EXO and EXO-Ls to win this show.

2. EXID Solji

The leader, main vocal as well as former vocal trainer of girl group EXID, Solji was the first ever masked king of the show as Self Luminous Mosaic. She returned after her hiatus once more after recovering from health related problems and won 5 consecutive rounds of the show once more, creating history.

3. F(x) Luna

Another girl group main vocal, Luna left an indelible mark on the history of the show when she appeared as 'Use 2 Buckets of Gold Lacquer' and took the title of 'King' for herself. Even though fans used all their sleuthing techniques to figure out her identity, she held her own throughout the show to ultimate victory.

4. Apink Eunji

This talented idol, singer, main vocal and actor was a power packed performer on the show. As 'Mother Said No to UV', her identity was safely hidden until the final episode but her talent shone through her mask. Her stage performances were incomparable there was no doubt that she was going to win.

5. BTS Jungkook

Appearing as 'Fencing Man', after the first round itself, ARMYs were already speculating that the sweet honey voice belonged to BTS Jungkook. Truly it must be difficult to fool ARMYs because in the next round, his identity was revealed when he lost out to his opponent. The episode still remains one of the most searched episodes online.

6. Day6 Wonpil

Wonpil stunned the panellists so much with his skill and talent that they assumed he was the main vocalist of their band. However, he humbly replied that 4 out of 5 members in their group are vocalists so the main vocal keeps changing depending on the concept they're going for. He appeared as "Pager" and stole hearts of audience and judges alike but unfortunately, he wasn't able to progress further.

Some other idols that appeared on the show and left spell bounding performances were BLACPINK's Rosé, SEVENTEEN's DK, NCT 127's Doyoung, Got7 Yougjae, Red Velvet Joy, MAMAMOO Hwasa, Twice Jihyo and LOONA's Heejin.
